Read full article ›Choosing the right cap for women isn't about grabbing the first one you like the look of. Size, material and shape completely change how it fits and what occasions it suits. Here's the guide we wish we'd had before designing our own.
Most women's caps come in a single adjustable fit, usually between 55 and 60 cm head circumference, with a rear buckle closure to adjust it. It's the most practical system because it fits almost any head without having to get an exact size right. If you have long hair or usually wear it in a ponytail, look for caps with a slightly more open back so it doesn't feel tight.

Cotton: light, breathable and the most versatile option all year round. It usually has a washed finish that gives it a relaxed look.

Corduroy: with more visible ribbed texture, it gives a very flattering vintage touch. Note: it's not thicker or warmer than plain cotton, it's the same material with a different finish.

Neoprene: moisture-resistant and more structured, ideal if you're after a cap that holds its shape well with everyday use.
The dad hat (six-panel cap, curved brim and relaxed fit) is the cut that suits most face shapes best, precisely because it isn't rigid or exaggerated. It's the style we use as the base across the whole Lola collection.
With a low ponytail and a casual look, a light cotton cap. With a coat and boots in winter, brown or black corduroy adds texture without overloading the outfit. For a sportier look, neoprene in a plain colour keeps everything clean and minimalist.
At Mosh we design our women's caps with this in mind: comfortable fit, materials that hold up to everyday wear and our own design that you won't see in just any shop. You can browse the whole Lola collection, or filter directly by material in cotton, corduroy or neoprene.
